Hi,
This is a special one as this was my first attempt in straight line quilling.
I started by drawing the outline of the heart very lightly and roughly so that it is not visible at the end.(I also fixed a piece of rubber to a small pin and removed all traces of pencil in the end )And then I measured each n every strip starting from 7.8 cm in the center and gradually incrementing and decrementing according to the shape.Measuring each strip was a task especially when I cut it 1mm shorter in a place :( so,I had to attach another strip of 1mm length.!!
I chose pink cardstock for making the strips as I wanted a subtle look.Making the strips to stand straight was a challenge and sometimes when I was trying to align a strip, the previous one got disturbed.I never knew I had this much of Patience !!!
This piece took me about 4.5 hours flat to complete.I didn't want any sentiment to be in the front as I felt the heart itself will convey all it had to say !!!!!! Wanted to make it look as clean and simple possible.
I was so satisfied with this one and I had been literally staring at it after completing it.I am in so love with this. But,Pics were taken at night,so not that great :(
And when hubby returned from office at 10pm (that too on weekend!) he was super happy when I gifted him and kept the card close to his heart and gave a pose which I managed to take a quick pic in my mobile :)
The effort behind was worth it certainly!!
I hope to try much more similar to this as I feel this would help me in getting steady hands :P
A collage of work in Progress :)

Do let me know how you like it :)
